I love road trips. I love the car feeling underneath my feet. I love the speed, the crossing of borders, and the visiting of friends.
Every year I take road trips, ever since I could drive I have traveled to visit friends at college, at their homes, wherever my friends were, I went to them.
There is no greater joy that taking the time to spend the time to visit friends. Whether I am going alone, or with someone, I love that time spent in the car, singing my heart out, or talking for hours with someone I love. There is something magical about taking a road trip. There is something about the memories made on the road together that I hate to give up.
I get to go someplace new this coming week, I get to take a trip to someone who I have not visited yet, and that is the most exciting thing in the world!
2013 has been a crazy year, I quit my first nursing job and found another. I’ve been at my current job for 8 months now. I’ve traveled a bit, to Virginia again, NYC and to camp a few times. Lots of memories have been made, lots of films have been watched, so much tv as well, and even more books.
I’ve attempted daily photo projects before. And I’ve kinda made it. (I did it February a couple years ago, it was a short month, not the best photos produced). So I’m going to attempt to do 31 photos, daily photos in January!
My goal is to enjoy it, journal daily, and see what happens. If I like it, can’t get enough of it, I’ll continue it next month… and the month after that that! We’ll see how it goes.
I went to visit my Ramapo friends on December 7th for a Christmas Sweater Party! Most of us were not wearing sweaters… myself including… but my old college roommates made up for it in decorations and delicious food, and the wonderful company I get to enjoy whenever I get to see them!
This is from November 23rd, the Doctor who 50th anniversary special, and November 28th, Thanksgiving with my family!
For the Doctor Who special, a whole bunch of my camp friends decided to get together for a weekend of celebration and just an excuse to hang out! I haven’t seen some of these people in couple months, or a couple years. It was nice just to hang out and relax with them!
I’m so ready for 2014 with my new calendar. Each year I get a new calendar for my wall, usually it’s pretty pictures or whatever my mom can find. This year I told her I wanted a photo calendar with my photos! So I gave her 12 of my favorites and my dad added quotes for each month/picture, and my mom added all the special holidays and birthdays!
I’m so excited to see the photos I have taken over this year blown up and on my wall!
This year I turned 25 years old. This is good age, this is going to be a good year, or at least that is what I tell myself every day! I feel like I have already passed my quarter life crisis, and I am in a job that is in my career path. Yes, I hate my job at times, but I am able to progress in life from this point!
So I had a good birthday weekend! I went out to the dinner with my parents and some of my closest friends, and then to the movie afterwards with some cake. Heather was able to sleep over and we talked late into the night. That night I also decided to “call out sick” and go to NYC the next day with my mom! I played hooky, and we spent the day wandering around the city, ice skating in bryant park, visiting the Winter Village, the NY Public Library, and Max Brenner for lunch. It was cold, but it was perfect! The next day I had got kidnapped for a pedicure with my friend Audrey, and then we went to Hillsong NJ for church. It was a wonderful weekend that had all my favorite people involved!
