Project update

The 31 days of January project is going well. I am really enjoying it.  I have taken the creative liberty of not being amazing at taking photos every day.  The photos are mediocre at best, but some I have really enjoyed taking.  The process of taking photos every day is challenging, but it is absolutely wonderful.

The photos I have taken, I love them, I love the process, I love that I have to think about taking a photo every day from the moment I wake up to the moment when I go to bed.  I see my life through my lens and I’m absolutely loving it.

Paper Cranes

A friend of mine wants to make 1000 paper cranes for a family member. She has requested my help, so that is what I have been doing for the past couple of hours. Folding tiny paper cranes, one after another. The remind me of the year I folded tiny stars while studying for hours at a time. I’m still using those stars to fill jars as gifts!

2013: Summer So Far #5: Ocean City Edition

Pulpit rock Pulpit rock

Went to Ocean City, NJ, for a little family vacation the second to last weekend in August. We have been going as a family for around 4 years I believe. It has been my aunt and uncles family vacation spot for many years, and my mom and I decided to tag along one year, and we haven’t been able to stop. We have then taken our grandparents as well, and my father, brother, and sister-in-law if they are free as well over the years. It is a fun weekend filled with sitting on the beach, walking the boardwalk, and just sitting around and talking. I am so blessed to be able to spend an entire weekend with my extended family year after year.

JULY 17th: This is such a random story! I received this bracelet in the mail the other week, and I have no idea why I received it. I’m thinking it was from etsy, cause it was from China some place. But no one on facebook owned up to sending it to me, so it is still a mystery!

JULY 18th and 21st: Ocean Grove with the mum. JULY 24th: Breakfast. JULY 26th through 28th: Camp Cedarbrook!. AUGUST 2nd: Dorney Park with Steph Continue reading

Where have I been?

Pulpit rock Pulpit rock

I’m working on a new Summer So Far #3 post. But for now… here are some of the many feet pictures I take. After 4+ years of digitally taking photos, I have found my style and patterns of photos I take. Feet, backs of peoples heads/shoulders, and close up photos of something with a blurred out background. I just love them so much!

Year in Review: Some things I don’t want to forget

1. The year I graduated BSN school for nursing.

2. Got a 4.0 gpa my final semester of school, first time since I started college when I was a sophomore in high school.

3. Realized my love for 608, did not want the semester to end, and I would have to move out of that room.

4. Start the new year and get over a breakup, dive into school and friends.

5. Watched all three Lord of the Rings movies in one weekend, 2 movies in one day!

6. Graduated with 3 RNs who I studied with, 4 way phone called with, and had many happy hours with.

7. Lead a Bible study again, fell in love with those girls all over again, and watched them grow.

8. Hiked the AT, backpacking for the first time in 5 years, with 4 amazing girls.

9. Was the camp nurse again, and survived.

10. Got my first job, got to work with 2 friends I went to nursing school with, and discovered that I could really be a nurse.

11. Wrote a 50,000 word novel, for the second time in two years.

12. Read 150 books and watched 96 or so movies.

13. Partied like no tomorrow with people I love.

14. Documented my life, more than any year before.

15. Got in a car crash, and dealt with cops, 2 tow trucks, car insurance, rental cars, Triple A, and hotel reservations, more than I ever wanted to.

16. Cut off 8 inches of my hair.

2012 was a crazy year, full of so many unexpected things from beginning to end. 2013 is already crazy, and my future is still so undetermined. Here’s to documenting the pieces and living in the moment and preparing slowly for the future.
